M. Judson Booksellers & Storytellers is excited to continue their brand new series of book and author events in partnership with some of their favorite writers and downtown restaurants. Lunch & Lit is back November 7th featuring author Ron Rash and the fabulous Chef Shaun Garcia at Soby’s (which is NEVER open for lunch). It’s sure to be an afternoon you won’t want to miss.

Hub City Press is issuing a special 20th anniversary edition of Ron’s poetry collection Eureka Mill, which introduced the world to an often overlooked Appalachian region and cemented Rash’s name as synonymous with Southern writing. Eureka Mill presents a lyrical portrait of the migration of poor North Carolina farmers to Chester, South Carolina to work in the Eureka Cotton Mill in the years before the Great Depression. Drawing on his family history in the region that stretches back three hundred years, the collection presents a nuanced story of mill village life. 

Tickets include a three course meal and a copy of the book to take home.
