National Music Day is a day to appreciate the many benefits that music making brings to life. It spotlights the significance of music in our respective cultures, and salutes the many ways that music —both making it and enjoying it – can bring people together. Music has the power to heal, connect, and inspire. A national day for music reminds us that while there is music in the world, we can set down our troubles, pick up our instruments and make a joyful noise. In Europe, under the names Fête de la Musique or World Music Day, this tradition has been going on since as far back as 1982.

Musical Innovations was founded in 2009 to bring better quality musical products and services to the Greenville area and beyond. The company services schools in South and North Carolina, and also houses two specialty shops: Carolina Flutes and SC Strings. In 2015, the company was named the National Association of Music Merchant’s Top 100 Dealer of the Year. For more information about Musical Innovations, please visit
