- 4 ounces chilled strawberry wine
- 1 ounce Aperol (Campari’s approachable cousin), chilled in the refrigerator overnight
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 whole strawberry, cap removed, frozen, for garnish
Stir all 3 ingredients together in a white wine glass. Drop frozen strawberry into glass with panache.
When making most cold cocktails, the ice is used, not only to chill the beverage, but to offer a bit of dilution as well. Since the base component of this one has a relatively low ABV, dilution is not necessary, so by starting with all cold ingredients, you can forgo the ice.
