Shrimp and Grits

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp basil
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp dill
  • 1 tsp corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp thyme

Preparation

In a large bowl place 1 ½ cups cooked grits. Cover with mild cheddar cheese. Place sliced red tomatoes around the perimeter on top of the grits. Add 3 tablespoons of whole kernel corn in center. Next, place peeled, deveined, tail-off , boiled shrimp atop of corn. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of cooked bacon crumbles, ¼ tsp of house seasoning, and a pinch of parsley.

House Seasoning

Mix all ingredients well.
