These photos are from Debbie Cooke’s “Food for Thought” series, created from a combination of iPhone images, digital negatives, watercolors and a 19th century photographic process called gum dichromate. She says, “It is this combination of the ancient and the modern that intrigues me—both in my method and content. Thinking about what farming used to mean, and comparing it with current practices of food production led to these photographs.”
