Onion Jam

Ingredients

  • 3 Onions, sliced
  • ½ Tbsp. Oil
  • 1 tsp. Cardamom
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Cider Vinegar
  • 1 cup White Wine

Preparation

Slice the onion into thin strips.

Sauté the onion over high heat with the little bit of oil and cardamom.

Once the onions have broken down and are starting to caramelize well, add the sugar, and continue to caramelize the sugar with the onions.

Add the cider vinegar and white wine.

Cook until the liquid has reduced to thick syrup.
